Pierre Sibille

Well, that starts with me - Tony Tarr from Tooting or 'TT' as my friends call me. I've been sitting at home with my trusty guitar writing songs for a few years now. I'd been to studios with a few producers before and had always come out with a load of rubbish but last year I got given the number of this guy Pete in Streatham, went round his place with my little 8-track, downloaded a song, gave him some general instructions and ideas and left him to it. A few days later he called me and I shot round there, feeling excited as I had felt this guy would be different from the potato-heads I had wasted my time and spondulicks with before. He whacked on the song and sure enough - what a load of **** - I thought. So I said, "Tell you what, Pete, do 4 more hours on it... turn that up... that down...". A few days later Pete called again and I went back. He put it on and.. WOW! - that's my sound! - and for the first time I knew I had a song ("Do You Wanna?&quot and we have not looked back Once we had 10 songs sorted I stuck an ad in Loot and started putting together a band.
The line-up of the band currently includes: Kevin - bass, Kingsley - drums, Chris - Sax, Roy and Ash - Trumpets, Linda and Jasmine - keyboards, Karl - guitars, Anna and me on vocals plus extra musos when there's room on stage. A native of Turkey, Fahir Atakoglu is an international award winning composer and pianist well known in the fields of large symphonic works and film music. Since 1986, Fahir has composed jingles, documentary and film music for many national and international productions. For his work in film composition Fahir won first prize for Documentary Music Composition at the Milano Film Festival, and won “The Best Song Award” from The Mega Channel in Greece. 
 
Also an accomplished solo artist, Fahir has released 15 albums since his solo debut in 1994, and maintains an intense touring schedule, including his recent sold out shows at the world renowned Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, and Carnegie Hall in New York City, proving his worldwide appeal.
 
Fahir’s 2005 release “If”, with  legendary Bass Player Anthony Jackson (Paul Simon, Eye Witness, Michel Camilo,) and acclaimed Drummer Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez (McCoy Tyner, Michel Camilo, Carlos Santana), demonstrated Fahir’s virtuosity with the music that he composed for the Istanbul National Ballet’s performance of East Side Story.
 
2008 saw the release of Fahir’s highly anticipated 15th album, “Istanbul in Blue”, in which he takes the listener through a deep exploration of his unique rhythmic melodies and harmonies.

The Russ Spiegel Jazz Orchestra

Russ Spiegel is a Jazz guitarist, composer and arranger. He was born and raised California, but moved to Europe as a teenager where he quickly established himself as an in-demand musician, touring the Continent with various ensembles, performing at well-known Jazz festivals, and appearing on numerous television and radio shows. In 2001, Russ returned to the US, settling in New York City where his music career continued to flourish.  Most recently, he has been very busy with his solo guitar performances in support of his numerous CDs.  He also leads The Russ Spiegel Jazz Orchestra, a 17-piece band featuring Russ's compositions and arrangements, which will be releasing its most recent CD, “Transplants” worldwide in early 2009.  Russ is also a commissioned composer who has written music for film, TV, musicals, and has spent the last four years working as the on-set music instructor for the hit Nickelodeon TV show, “<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0888280/" target="_blank">The Naked Brothers Band</a>.”
In 2009, Russ will be touring the world with The Russ Spiegel Jazz Orchestra in support of “Transplants”, continuing his work with Nickelodeon, and writing musical scores for several upcoming TV shows and Independent Films.
