Michael Minor –aka- 100 began to nurture his musical talents at the very young age of four. He is a native of Hempstead, New York, and Statesville, North Carolina, he grew up and went to school in both states. His first instrument was guitar he later picked up other instruments like drums, bass guitar, and keyboards.

The production part of his musical journey came later in when he was stationed in Germany where he started working in some recording studios and learning the engineering aspect of recording music. 

How to get a professional sound. “It’s not the place it’s making the most of where you are and your equipment. You most know how your equipment works and what it is capable of doing. Even as an engineer of music you must educate yourself.”

He has been doing this for over ten years.  “Know your trends but don’t be afraid of being yourself. Being a singer or a musician is like a personal testimony. God gave it to you so; bring it like he gave you the vision.”

Along with his writing and performing he also produces all of his songs. Not only is he a serious musician, he is also a professional producer as well. Growing up in a mixed environment has made his style of music diverse. “I make music everyone can relate to, real music for real people.   I just live my life and let Christ guide me. As long as he navigates, everything is okay.”

1 0 0 has been performing for many years now. I think he has the art of knowing what makes people tick. Most times it’s a feeling (The spirit) that guides me to do or say the right thing.

He has had many performances all over the world. Including:  Korea, Germany, Afghanistan, Switzerland, and nationally in the United States.

When ask the question of what separates 100 from the rest of talented Artist. His reply was “I am a true musician and an Artist. We have an Urban style of music done with a live band, Impact Band.  Not many artists are doing this today, because it’s difficult finding serious musicians on that level that is willing to be dedicated. Impact Band is a very dedicated group of individuals that is gifted, talented and very serious about reaching the world. We are very versatile. Our versatility is what keeps things interesting. We touch in many genres of music such as Jazz, Rock, Hip Hop, Pop, Reggae, Etc.”
